	Face Of Fire ''Face of Fire'' is a 1959 American drama film directed by Albert Band and written by Louis A. Garfinkle. It is based on the 1898 short story ''The Monster'' by Stephen Crane. The film stars Cameron Mitchell, James Whitmore, Bettye Ackerman, Miko Oscard, Royal Dano, Robert F. Simon, Richard Erdman and Howard Smith. The film was released on August 9, 1959, by Allied Artists Pictures. 	Albert Band Albert Band (May 7, 1924 – June 14, 2002) was a French-American film director and film producer. He was the son of artist Max Band, father of filmmaker Charles Band and of film composer Richard Band and the grandfather of Alex Band, Taryn Band and Rachael Band. Life and career Band was born in Paris, France, the son of Bertha (Finkelstein) and Max Band, an artist. His mother was born in Russia and his father was from Kudirkos Naumiestis, Lithuania. His family is Jewish. He escaped from Paris to the United States with his family prior to the occupation of France during World War II. He graduated from Hollywood High School. Interested in film, he became an apprentice at Warner Bros. where he developed contacts eventually becoming an assistant director on John Huston's ''The Asphalt Jungle'', then adapting the story ''The Red Badge of Courage'' for Huston's film of the same name. 	Harold Kasket Harold Kasket (26 July 1926 – 20 January 2002) was an English actor in theatre, films and later television from the 1940s. Kasket usually played Arabs or mainland European types in many films and TV programmes such as ''Maigret'', ''The Saint'', ''Danger Man'', ''Z-Cars'', '' Department S'' and ''The Tomorrow People''. His theatre work included appearances with Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh on Broadway in '' Caesar and Cleopatra'' in 1951; and playing Uncle Ben opposite Warren Mitchell at the National Theatre in ''Death of a Salesman'' in 1979.
