FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship was the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 23 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 2013 in Uberlândia, Brazil and tournaments were played every two years until 2017. The last tournament was hosted by Egypt in Cairo and won by Argentina. After not announcing a host for the 2019 edition, FIVB declared that "As per decision of May 2019 FIVB Board of Administration, the U23 WCH has been abolished." A corresponding tournament for female players was the FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship. 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship
The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship was held in Uberlândia, Brazil from 6 to 13 October 2013. This was the first edition of the tournament. Twenty-one point rule For this tournament, the first four sets were played over 21 points. Qualification The 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship will feature two countries per confederation plus the host Brazil and the highest country in the world rankings not already selected by their confederation, in this case Russia. Pools composition Teams were seeded following the Serpentine system according to their FIVB World Ranking as of 22 July 2013. Ricardo Samuel Lucarelli Santos de Souza (born 14 February 1992) is a Brazilian professional volleyball player. He is a member of the Brazil national team. The 2016 Olympic Champion, a silver medallist at the 2014 World Championship, 2019 World Cup winner, and a four–time South American Champion ( 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2021). The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1962 they have been held every four years.
