Cortina d'Ampezzo (; lld, Anpezo, ; historical de-AT, Hayden) is a town and ''comune'' in the heart of the southern (Dolomitic) Alps in the Province of Belluno, in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Situated on the Boite river, in an alpine valley, it is a summer and winter sport resort known for its skiing trails, scenery, accommodation, shops and après-ski scene, and for its jet set and Italian aristocratic crowd. Marta Bassino (born 27 February 1996) is an Italian World Cup alpine ski racer. She competes in all disciplines, with a focus in giant slalom, in which she has won 6 World Cup races. Biography Born in Cuneo, Piedmont, she lives in Borgo San Dalmazzo. At the Junior World Championships in 2014, Bassino won the gold medal in the giant slalom on her eighteenth birthday in late February. This win granted her an automatic start at the giant slalom of the World Cup finals in mid-March, which was her World Cup debut. The next season was her first on the World Cup circuit. Breezy Noble Johnson (born January 19, 1996) is an American World Cup alpine ski racer on the U.S. Ski Team. She competes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. Born in Jackson, Wyoming, Johnson grew up in nearby Victor, Idaho, and made her World Cup debut in December 2015.
