Åre (pronounced like 'Aura') is a ski resort in Jämtland, Sweden, founded in 1909 and owned by SkiStar AB. Greta Small (born 16 October 1995) is an Australian alpine ski racer. She started skiing at Mt Hotham with the Mount Hotham Racing Squad; her main training base now is in the Tyrol region in Austria where she trains with Race Centre Benni Raich. Alice Merryweather (born October 5, 1996) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from the United States, and competes primarily in the speed events, downhill and super-G. Born and raised in Hingham, Massachusetts, she graduated from Stratton Mountain School in Vermont and plans to attend Dartmouth College Merryweather won the gold medal in the downhill at the World Junior Championships in 2017. Marie-Michèle Gagnon (born 25 April 1989) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Canada. Born in Lévis, Quebec, she was a technical skier focused on slalom. However, since an injury at the start of 2017 season, she no longer competes in slalom and rarely in giant slalom, focusing on speed disciplines and combined. Career Gagnon joined the Canadian national team at the age of eighteen, although a leg fracture halted her progress at the start of her rookie season.
