Super Giant Slalom Skiing
Super giant slalom, or super-G, is a racing discipline of alpine skiing. Along with the faster Downhill (ski competition), downhill, it is regarded as a "speed" event, in contrast to the technical events giant slalom and slalom skiing, slalom. It debuted as an official FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup event during the 1983 Alpine Skiing World Cup, 1983 season and was added to the official schedule of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, World Championships in FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1987, 1987 and the Alpine skiing at the Winter Olympics, Winter Olympics in Alpine skiing at the 1988 Winter Olympics, 1988. Much like downhill, a super-G course consists of widely set gates that racers must pass through. Marion Rolland
Marion Rolland (born 17 October 1982) is a retired World Cup alpine ski racer from France. Racing career Born in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, Isère, she made her World Cup debut in January 2004 and attained her first top-10 in February 2009 in Bansko. She has two World Cup podium finishes, both at the finals at Schladming in March 2012. After making her first Olympic team in 2010, Rolland took a tumble in the downhill only four seconds from the starting gate at Whistler. Maria Kirkova ( bg, Мария Киркова; born 2 January 1986) is a Bulgarian female skier. She was the flagbearer for Bulgaria and a competitor during the 2014 Winter Olympics and took part in the Alpine skiing events at all four Winter Olympics between 2006 and 2018 as well as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2003 and six championship from 2007 to 2017. Olympic Games Kirkova made her Olympic debut in Slalom during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, but did not finish the course. Klára Křížová (, 13 July 1989) is a female alpine skier from the Czech Republic. She took part in the alpine skiing events at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She also competed in the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2009. Křížová opened the women's downhill in the 2010 Winter Olympics, but suffered a crash, in which she lost a ski pole, following this she was able to finish in 37, placing her as the slowest person to successfully complete the course at 2:09:27.
