The 2010 South American Basketball Championship for Women was the 32nd edition of the FIBA South America Championship for Women. Seven teams featured the competition, held in Santiago, Chile from 10 to August 14. Brazil was the defending champion and retain the title. Paola Ferrari (basketball)
Paola Andrea Ferrari Yegros (born 16 September 1985) is a Paraguayan basketball player. She currently plays for PB63 Battipaglia in Serie A2 (women's basketball), Serie A2 as a shooting guard. Biography Paola Ferrari began playing basketball at age 7 at the club Deportivo Internacional in her native Asunción. She played her first South American Basketball Championship for Women, South American Championship in Peru, in the cadet category, where she stood out as a top scorer of the tournament. She made her debut in the senior league of Paraguay at age 14, where she played for several teams (Deportivo Internacional, Deportivo San Jose, UAA). She had outstanding performances in the South American Championships at all levels, being proclaimed best player, top scorer, and best Three-point field goal, three-point shooter on several occasions. Ziomara Esket Morrison Jara (born February 15, 1989) is a Chilean professional basketball player. In 2012, she became the first Chilean to play in the WNBA when she was a member of the San Antonio Stars. Career In February 2012, Morrison signed with the San Antonio Stars. She was released by the team in May 2013, after an injury to Becky Hammon forced the club to sign another player. Damiris Dantas do Amaral (born November 17, 1992) is a Brazilian basketball player. Together with the junior Brazilian team, she won the bronze medal at the Under-19 World Championship in 2011, Chile, and was named Most Valuable Player at that tournament. Waleska ( ) is a city in Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. The population was 644 at the 2010 census. History The first white settlement in the Waleska area began in the early 1830s. Among these first pioneer settlers were the Reinhardt, Heard and Rhyne families, who moved into the region looking for fresh, fertile farm land.
