Internaţional Curtea de Argeș was a Romanian professional football club from Curtea de Argeș, Argeș County, founded in 2000 and dissolved in 2011. During its short existence, the club reached the highest stage in Romanian football, Liga I, playing for a season in this first tier. History The club was founded in 2000 by local business man Ion Lazăr, being then named Internațional Piteşti. It activated since the beginning in the Divizia C, and at the end of the first season in history, the club succeeded to promote to the Divizia B, finishing first in the series. The second season in history meant a fifth-place finish at the end of the Divizia B 2001–02 season. Another 3 seasons of second league football followed, finishing 11th, 8th and 13th, respectively, after which they sold their right to play in the Divizia B to Astra Ploiești. Pandurii Târgu Jiu
The uprising of 1821 was a social and political rebellion in Wallachia, which was at the time a tributary state of the Ottoman Empire. It originated as a movement against the Phanariote administration, with backing from the more conservative boyars, but mutated into an attempted removal of the boyar class. Though not directed against Ottoman rule, the revolt espoused an early version of Romanian nationalism, and is described by historians as the first major event of a national awakening. The revolutionary force was centered on a group of Pandur irregulars, whose leader was Tudor Vladimirescu. Nicolae Dobrin Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Piteşti, Romania, named in 2003 after football player Nicolae Dobrin (1947–2007). It is mostly used for football matches and is the home ground of FC Argeş Piteşti. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people, making it the 18th largest stadium in Romania, however the largest crowd ever recorded was of 28,000 people for the 1979–80 European Champions' Cup match between FC Argeş and Nottingham Forest. It was originally named "Stadionul 1 Mai" but changed simply to "Stadionul Municipal" immediately after the 1989 Romanian Revolution. The stadium's name was changed to Nicolae Dobrin in 2002. Mioveni
Mioveni () is a town in Argeș County, Romania, approximately 15 km (9 miles) north-east of Pitești. , it had a population of 31,998. The town administers four villages: Clucereasa, Colibași, Făgetu and Racovița. History It was first mentioned in a written record in 1485. It developed much in the 1970s after the construction of the Automobile Dacia manufacturing plant, inaugurated in 1968. There is also a Nuclear Research Institute, that builds components and materials for the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, and a high security prison. It officially became a town in 1989, as a result of the Romanian rural systematization program. Prior to April 1989, when it was declared a town, the place was a commune under the name of ''Colibași''.
