Eşref Kolçak
Eşref Kolçak (28 January 1927 – 26 May 2019) was a Turkish actor. Biography Eşref Kolçak was born in Russia. His father was Harun Kolçakoğlu, and his mother was of Russian descent, his family moved to Turkey, Erzurum when he was 5 years old. At the age of 14, his family moved to Istanbul. He studied at the Sultan Ahmet Arts Institute. In 1944, he appeared in his first play at the Atilla Review. In 1947, he made his film debut and went on to appear in over 180 films and series. Kolçak won a Golden Orange in 2000 for his performance in '' Güle Güle''. He was the father of musician Harun Kolçak, who died of prostate cancer on 19 July 2017. Gemlik
Gemlik is a town and center of the Gemlik District of Bursa Province. It is located in the east of the Gulf of Gemlik. It is approximately away from Bursa. In antiquity, Gemlik was the location of the ancient Greek town of Cius. Gemlik is an industrial port and it has a freezone trade center. There are also important industrial establishments in south and west of the harbors. The port of Gemlik is one of the busiest import harbors in Turkey. Gemlik is renowned for black olives. Etymology In the Ottoman-era, the town began to be called Gemilik (Eng. shipyard), because there was a shipyard in the town to build Galleons for the Ottoman Navy. Drastamat Kanayan (; 31 May 1884 8 March 1956), better known as Dro (Դրօ), was an Armenian military commander and politician. He was a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. He briefly served as Defence Minister of the First Republic of Armenia in 1920, during the country's brief independence. Dro, a short dark man, was considered to be the "power behind the throne" in Armenia. During World War II, he led the Armenian Legion, which consisted of Armenian POWs who opted to fight for Nazi Germany rather than face the brutal conditions of the Nazis' camps. Early life Drastamat Kanayan was born in Igdyr (present-day Iğdır, Turkey) in the Surmalu uezd of the Russian Empire in 1884.
