Eyvan County, alternately spelled Eywan or Aivan ( fa, شهرستان ایوان, ''Shahrestān-e Eyvan'') is located in Ilam province, Iran. The capital of the county is Eyvan. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 47,380, in 10,040 households. Retrieved 6 November 2022 The following census in 2011 counted 48,833 people, in 11,859 households. At the 2016 census, the county's population was 49,491, in 13,820 households. Taq-e Shirin And Farhad
Taq-e Shirin and Farhad is a rock relief from the era of the Sasanian Empire, the Iranian dynasty ruling from 226 to 650 Anno Domini, AD. It is located on the way from Zarneh in Ilam province, Ilam Province to Sumar, Iran, Sumar in Kermanshah province, Kermanshah Province of Iran, seven kilometers from Chel Zarie village near Kooshk Pass, Kooshk Pass in Eyvan County. The relief is attributed to the lovers Khosrow and Shirin, Shirin and Farhad during the reign of the Sassanid king Khosrow II, Khosraw II (591-628 CE).
