Carolina Eyck (born 26 December 1987) is a German- Sorb musician specialising in playing the Theremin, an electronic instrument. Her performances around the world have helped to promote the unusual musical instrument. Biography German-born musician and composer Carolina Eyck is one of the world's foremost theremin virtuosi. Charles Eyck
Charles Hubert Eyck (24 March 1897 – 2 August 1983) was a Dutch visual artist. Together with and Joep Nicolas, he was a pioneer of the so-called . Life and work Charles Eyck was born in 1897 in Meerssen. He received his training at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. He had previously started as a pottery painter at the ceramics factory :nl:Société Céramique, Céramique in Maastricht. In 1922 he won the Prix de Rome (Netherlands), Prix de Rome. After short stays in Sweden, Curaçao, southern France, Amsterdam, Clamart and Utrecht, he settled in Schimmert. Initially, his work was Expressionism, expressionistic in style. He was later criticized for persisting in a more or less consistent religious style. Erich Eyck
Erich Eyck (1878 – 23 June 1964) was a German historian. He was born in Berlin and studied to become a lawyer.''The Times'' (24 June 1964), p. 15. Before the First World War one of his clients was the Russian Marxist revolutionary Anatoly Lunacharsky. In 1928 he was elected to the Berlin Town Assembly, standing as a Democrat. Eyck also wrote articles for the ''Vossische Zeitung''. However, following the rise of Adolf Hitler, Eyck emigrated to Britain in 1937, living in Boars Hill, Berkshire and Hampstead, London. He took British nationality after 1945. From then on he focused on history, writing biographies of Otto von Bismarck and Wilhelm II, as well as a two-volume history of the Weimar Republic. From early on in his life he had admired Britain's liberal political system and his political beliefs influenced his historical work.
