''Extreme Tourist Afghanistan'' is a television documentary series written, directed and presented by Sabour Bradley that explores life in Afghanistan. Production The series had its world premiere in the UK on Current TV on 25 January 2011 and has screened in more than 150 countries on channels including Nat Geo Adventure, Fox Traveler. In French-speaking territories, it is called ''Bienvenue Chez Les Afghans'' in French and was screened by Canal+ (French TV channel), Canal+ and CanalSat. The series was produced by Afghan television production company Kaboora Productions, post-produced by UK production company Speak-It Films and distributed by the UK's Target Entertainment. Critical response Extreme Tourist Afghanistan was critically acclaimed by both western and Afghan journalists for its portrayal of Afghans as real people and not just media stereotypes. Sabour Bradley
Sabour Bradley is an Australian filmmaker, writer and broadcaster. He is known for his documentary series '' Extreme Tourist Afghanistan'' on National Geographic, and ''Head First'' on the ABC, as well as his writing and producing roles on narrative fiction projects such as Represent, and the children's television series ''Bobo & Kipi''. Bradley was born and raised near Bunbury, Western Australia, and educated at the Victorian College of the Arts. His career began in journalism and his early documentaries were influenced by this and the immersive, experiential styles of Nick Broomfield and Morgan Spurlock. He works with Al Jazeera's documentary series, ''101 East ''101 East'' is a multi award-winning weekly television programme, broadcast by Al Jazeera English, that produces in-depth investigative documentaries from across Asia and the Pacific.
