Extremadura Unión Deportiva was a Spanish football team based in Almendralejo, in the autonomous community of Extremadura. Founded in 2007, it last played in Primera División RFEF – Group 1, holding home games at ''Estadio Francisco de la Hera''. History ''Extremadura Unión Deportiva'' was founded in 2007, as the existing CF Extremadura club was experiencing serious financial problems, which would lead to its folding three years later. In only three seasons, the club reached the third division of Spanish football, having won in the 2010 playoffs against Atlético Mancha Real in June 2010. However, it finished 19th and last (due to AD Cerro de Reyes Badajoz Atlético retiring from competition) in its first campaign, being immediately relegated back. Estadio Francisco De La Hera
Estadio Francisco de la Hera is a football stadium in Almendralejo, Spain. It is the home ground of CD Extremadura 1924. CF Extremadura’s first permanent ground was called Campo de Santa Aurora which was on Camino Alange. This was used from 1928 to 1935 when they moved the short distance to Campo Santa Elvira. In 1950, the idea of building a municipal stadium was formed. They played at a site adjacent to the proposed stadium called Los Cañizos for just over one season played. The inaugural match was on 12 October 1951; CF Extremadura played against Sevilla FC at Estadio Francisco de la Hera. José Antonio Reyes
José Antonio Reyes Calderón (; 1 September 1983 – 1 June 2019) was a Spanish professional footballer who played mainly as a left winger and also as a forward. He made his debut for Sevilla aged 16 and signed for English club Arsenal in January 2004, winning the Premier League and FA Cup in his spell in London. He returned to Spain in September 2006, on loan with Real Madrid, where he won La Liga. He then moved to Atlético Madrid, and won the Europa League twice. He also had a short loan spell in Portugal with Benfica, before re-joining Sevilla late in his career and winning the Europa League another three times, reaching a record individual total of five. He later had spells with Espanyol, Córdoba, Xinjiang Tianshan Leopard and Extremadura. Reyes earned 21 caps for Spain, and played at the 2006 World Cup. Antonio Rodríguez Saravia (born 28 January 1971), commonly known as Rodri, is a Spanish retired footballer, who played as a forward, and manager. He is currently an individual development coach at Premier League club Aston Villa. Playing career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Rodri joined FC Barcelona's youth setup in 1988 from Santfeliuenc FC, but was released in the following year. He subsequently joined FC Martinenc, and in January 1990 he moved to CD Teruel in Segunda División B. Enric Gallego Puigsech (born 12 September 1986) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for CD Tenerife. Club career Early career Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Gallego had several working-class jobs alongside his amateur footballing career, such as lorry driver, builder and air conditioning installer.
