Expressway S52 is an expressway under construction in Poland, which is located in the Silesian and Lesser Poland voivodeships. Silesian Voivodeship
Silesian Voivodeship, or Silesia Province ( pl, województwo śląskie ) is a voivodeship, or province, in southern Poland, centered on the historic region known as Upper Silesia ('), with Katowice serving as its capital. Despite the Silesian Voivodeship's name, most of the historic Silesia region lies outside the present Silesian Voivodeship – divided among Lubusz, Lower Silesian, and Opole Voivodeships. The national flag of Poland ( pl, flaga Polski) consists of two horizontal stripes of equal width, the upper one white and the lower one red. The two colours are defined in the Polish constitution as the national colours. Skoczów
Skoczów (pronounced , german: Skotschau, cs, Skočov) is a town and the seat of Gmina Skoczów in Cieszyn County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland with 14,385 inhabitants (2019). The town lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. The name of the town is of possessive origin, derived from personal name ''Skocz''. History The very first settlement in the nearest neighbourhood had been established by a Slavic tribe called Golensizi around the 7th century on a naturally defensive hill over the valley of the river Bładnica and ravine called ''Piekiełko'' about south-east of the town centre within borders of modern Międzyświeć. Świętoszówka () is a village in Gmina Jasienica, Bielsko County, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It has a population of 618 (2016). It lies in the Silesian Foothills in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. The name is derived from the personal name of ''Świętosz''. History It could have been first mentioned in a document of Bishop of Wrocław issued on 23 May 1223 for Norbertine Sisters in Rybnik among villages paying them a tithe, as ''Suenschi(e)zi''. Wapienica, Bielsko-Biała
Wapienica (german: Lobnitz) is an osiedle (district) of Bielsko-Biała, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. The osiedle has an area of 25.8856 km2 and on December 31, 2006, had 10,439 inhabitants. It is located in the western part of the city, alongside Wapienica river. History The village was established in the middle of the 16th century and was first mentioned in 1571 as ''Lopnitz''. The village was most probably established be German settlers but they borrowed the name of the settlement from the Slavic name of the local stream ''Łopienica''. Komorowice, Bielsko-Biała
Komorowice (german: Batzdorf) is the northernmost part of Bielsko-Biała, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It is located on both banks of the Biała River, the historical border river between Silesia and Lesser Poland, and from the mid-15th century to 1772, also the states of Poland and Bohemia (from 1526 part of the Habsburg monarchy).
