''Explosions'' is the seventh studio album by Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. It was released on May 6, 2022 through RCA Records. The album was produced by Howard Benson and by members of the band. It is the third album to feature Matt Walst as lead vocalist. Background and recording The band announced their seventh studio album, ''Explosions'', after the release of " So Called Life". They also announced tour dates for the spring that will take place in April and May 2022. In February 2022, the band officially revealed the track list and the cover art for the album. The group began writing the album in February 2020. According to bassist Brad Walst, the album is about, "That feeling inside, like you're gonna explode." He explained the process of recording the album, "We didn’t see each other for the longest time. Three Days Grace
Three Days Grace is a Canadian Rock music, rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1992 originally as "Groundswell" and played in various local Norwood backyard parties and area establishments before disbanding in 1995 and regrouping in 1997. Based in Toronto, the band's original line-up consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band's lead guitarist, making them a quartet. In 2013, Gontier left the band and was replaced by My Darkest Days' vocalist Matt Walst, the younger brother of Brad Walst. Paavo Lötjönen
Paavo Lötjönen (born 29 July 1968) is a cello player for Finnish band Apocalyptica. Paavo comes from a family where both of his parents were professional musicians. At the age of 6, he took a cello and decided that would be the instrument he would play all his life. Like fellow band members Perttu Kivilaakso and Eicca Toppinen, he attended Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. 20 years later, Paavo got his "Solist Cellist" diploma at the Sibelius Academy, and shortly after began to work as a cello teacher in music schools. Eino Matti "Eicca" Toppinen (born 5 August 1975) is a Finnish cellist The cello ( ; plural ''celli'' or ''cellos'') or violoncello ( ; ) is a bowed (sometimes plucked and occasionally hit) string instrument of the violin family. Liner notes (also sleeve notes or album notes) are the writings found on the sleeves of LP record albums and in booklets that come inserted into the compact disc jewel case or the equivalent packaging for cassettes. Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Lukas Rossi (born December 21, 1976) is a Canadian rock singer and musician. He was the winner of the CBS Television reality series '' Rock Star: Supernova'' – a televised audition contest to become lead singer of the hard rock supergroup ''Rock Star Supernova''. Biography Rossi was raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He formed and fronted two bands; the first was Cleavage (1995–2005) with brothers Jon and Bill Jameson. Barry Stock (born April 24, 1974) is the lead guitarist of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. Biography Stock joined Three Days Grace in 2003, shortly after the band's self-titled debut studio album was released. Stock's addition in Three Days Grace made the band a four-piece. Stock uses Schecter, Ibanez and PRS guitars, but prefers an Ibanez SZ320. He has also been seen using an Ibanez SZ4020FM Prestige. Since the discontinuation of the SZ series in 2008, Stock has started to use other guitars in the Ibanez line such as the ART series and Darkstone series. He uses Marshall Amplification and various effect pedals, mostly by Digitech. On the Live at the Palace DVD he revealed he uses Diezel Vh4 Amplifiers.
