Exo Laurentides Sector
Exo Laurentides provides local bus service for the southern portion of the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, mainly the suburban area on the northwest side of Montreal. The former services of CIT des Basses Laurentides, CIT de Deux-Montagnes, OMIT de St-Eustache and OMIT de St-Jérôme were amalgamated in 2004 to form the new Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport Laurentides with expanded service to some areas. Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec
Sainte-Thérèse is an off-island suburb northwest of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada, in the Thérèse-De Blainville Regional County Municipality. The town is mostly known as a home for heavy industry, but it is also a centre of recreational and tourist activities. It is near the southern limit of a web of cross-country ski trails which meander through the Laurentides. Mirabel is a suburb of Montreal, located on the North Shore in southern Quebec. Mirabel is also the name of a territory equivalent to a regional county municipality (TE) and census division (CD) of Quebec, coextensive with the city of Mirabel. Its geographical code is 74. Sainte-Thérèse station is a commuter rail station operated by Exo in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada. It is served by the Saint-Jérôme line, as well as RTM buses. Saint-Jérôme station is an intermodal transit station in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, Canada. It serves Exo and intercity buses as well as Exo commuter rail trains on the Saint-Jérôme line. Description It serves bus routes operated by the CIT Laurentides, a suburban transit agency, and by two intercity bus companies. In addition to loading areas for buses, it includes train platforms which are used by the Saint-Jérôme line. The line is operated by the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM), the umbrella organization that integrates and coordinates public transportation services in the Greater Montreal area. Saint-Joseph-du-Lac is a municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Deux-Montagnes Regional County Municipality. History The territory of the municipality of Saint-Joseph-du-Lac was part of the Lac des Deux-Montagnes Seigneury for over a hundred years. This seigneury was granted on October 17, 1717, to the Sulpician Order of the Ecclesiastical Seminary of St. Sulpice in Paris, who already were lords of the Island of Montreal. Saint-Eustache () is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in western Quebec, Canada, west of Montreal on the north shore of the Rivière des Mille Îles. It is located northwest of Montreal. History The city was founded in 1770 and was incorporated in 1835. It has a famous church, Saint-Eustache church, which was built between 1780 and 1783. A significant battle of the Lower Canada Rebellion was fought here on December 14, 1837. In the Battle of Saint-Eustache, the rebels were defeated, and the town was burnt.
