The Exhibition of eleven artists (russian: Выставка произведений одиннадцати ленинградских художников 1972 года) was opened at the end of 1972 in Leningrad on the Okhta district in the new Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. It became a significant important event in the Soviet fine art of the 1970s-1980s. History The idea of the exhibition came from three artists - Valery Vatenin, German Yegoshin, and Zaven Arshakuny. These artists were friendly since 1950, when they studied in the painting department of Repin Institute. Quince And Teapot (painting)
The quince (; ''Cydonia oblonga'') is the sole member of the genus ''Cydonia'' in the Malinae subtribe (which also contains apples and pears, among other fruits) of the Rosaceae family (biology), family. It is a deciduous tree that bears hard, aromatic bright golden-yellow pome fruit, similar in appearance to a pear. Ripe quince fruits are hard, tart, and astringent. Vitaly Ivanovich Tulenev (russian: Вита́лий Ива́нович Тюле́нев; February 28, 1937 in Leningrad, USSR – August 25, 1997 in Saint Petersburg, Russia) was a Soviet Russian painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, art teacher, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, lived and worked in Saint Petersburg, regarded as one of the leading representatives of the "left" wing of the Leningrad school of painting. Biography Vitaly Ivanovich Tulenev was born February 28, 1937, in Leningrad, USSR. In 1956 Vitaly Tulenev was adopted by the Department of painting of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin. Socialist realism is a style of idealized realistic art that was developed in the Soviet Union and was the official style in that country between 1932 and 1988, as well as in other socialist countries after World War II.
