Thiruvattar is a panchayat town in Kanyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. About the town This town is situated north-east of Marthandam and north-west of Nagercoil. The two main rivers Pahrali River and Kothai surround the village and join in Moovattumugam, giving the name ''Thiru'' (sacred)+ ''vatta'' (surround)+ ''aru'' (river). Kanyakumari District
Kanniyakumari district is one of the 38 districts in Tamil Nadu state and the southernmost district in mainland India.
