Evolution (Noiseworks Album)
''Evolution'' is the fourth studio album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. It was the band's first since 1991's '' Love Versus Money''. Released on 11 November 2022, ''Evolution'' debuted at number 25 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Background and release Noiseworks released their third studio album ''Love Versus Money'' in July 1991. The album became their first ARIA number-one album and the band split up shortly after. In 1999, lead singer Jon Stevens attempted a reunion of the band, but joined INXS instead. In 2007, Noiseworks reformed and began recording material. In 2011, the original members reformed for the Red Hot Summer tour and again in 2013, they performed at Stone Fest in Sydney. In August 2022, Noiseworks announced the release of single "Heart & Soul", their first single in 30 years. Noiseworks are an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1986 with bass guitarist Steve Balbi, guitarist Stuart Fraser, drummer Kevin Nicol, keyboardist Justin Stanley and lead vocalist Jon Stevens. They had four Australian Top 10 albums, ''Noiseworks (album), Noiseworks'' (1987), ''Touch (Noiseworks album), Touch'' (1988), ''Love Versus Money (Noiseworks album), Love Versus Money'' (1991) and ''Greatest Hits (Noiseworks album), Greatest Hits'' (1992). Love Versus Money (Noiseworks Album)
''Love versus Money'' is the third studio album by Australian rock band Noiseworks. It contained the Top 10 hit " Hot Chilli Woman". It is their most commercially successful album. Amongst the well-known names that contributed to the album were Snap! singer Penny Ford, Vika Bull and Michael Hutchence of INXS. The album also contained a tribute to frontman Jon Stevens's late mother who had died from cancer, the song was titled " R.I.P. (Millie)". This was the final studio album for phase one of Noiseworks as they disbanded shortly afterwards. However, in December 2007, lead singer Jon Stevens announced that Noiseworks, who had reformed earlier that year (minus keyboardist Justin Stanley), were returning to the studio in 2008 to record their first album together in sixteen years. Jon Stevens
Jon Stevens (born 8 October 1961) is a New Zealand singer, best known for his work with Noiseworks and ''Jesus Christ Superstar''. Biography 1980–1986: career beginnings and ''Jezebel'' Stevens was born in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, and is of Scottish and Māori descent. His brother is singer Frankie Stevens. He formed his first band while at Heretaunga College. Stevens released his debut studio album ''Jezebel'' on CBS Records in 1980. It peaked at number 7 on the New Zealand charts and was certified Gold. He moved to Australia in 1981 and subsequently became an Australian citizen. In 1982, a self-titled album was released, but was not successful. In 1983, Stevens formed the band the Change with guitarist Stuart Fraser. INXS (a word play, phonetic play on "in excess") were an Australian Rock music, rock band, formed as The Farriss Brothers in 1977 in Sydney, New South Wales. "Touch" is a song by Australian rock-pop band Noiseworks. It was released in October 1988 as the first single from their second studio album ''Touch'' (1988) and peaked at number 12 on the ARIA singles chart.
