''Everything Must Go'' is a 2010 American comedy-drama film directed by Dan Rush and starring Will Ferrell. The film was based on Raymond Carver's 1978 short story " Why Don't You Dance?" and was released in theaters on May 13, 2011. Plot In Arcadia, Arizona, salesman Nick Halsey is fired from his job of 16 years following an incident in Denver related to his alcoholism. After stabbing his supervisor Gary’s tires with his farewell gift – a Swiss Army Knife with his name on it – but leaving it behind, Nick has a confrontation with teenagers outside a convenience store. He returns home to find his wife Catherine is gone, the locks have been changed, and his belongings are strewn all over his lawn; she has left a letter explaining that she is leaving him, also over the Denver incident, and not to contact her. Wyck Godfrey
Wyck Godfrey is an American producer and executive. He is best known for producing ''The Twilight Saga'' and ''The Maze Runner'' film series. He is a partner of the production company Temple Hill Entertainment with his friend Marty Bowen, which they founded in 2006. In 2017, he was named President of Paramount Motion Pictures Group. In 2020, Godfrey left Paramount and returned to producing with Temple Hill Entertainment. Life and career Godfrey graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee, earned a degree in English literature from Princeton University, and later moved to New York City, where he interned at New Line Cinema. In February 2006, he and his friend Marty Bowen founded their own production company, Temple Hill Entertainment, and produced '' The Nativity Story'' as their first film together.
