''Everything is Everything'' is the third album from hip hop group Brand Nubian and the second released by the trio of Sadat X, Lord Jamar, and DJ Sincere. The album received mixed reviews and mediocre sales at the time of its release, despite a pair of popular singles, "Word Is Bond" and "Hold On." The album is completely produced by Lord Jamar except the Sadat X solo song "Alladat," which was produced by D.I.T.C. member Buckwild. Sadat X
Derek Murphy (born December 29, 1968), better known as Sadat X, is an American rapping, rapper, best known as a member of alternative hip hop group Brand Nubian. Originally known as Derek X, Sadat takes his name from former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. In 1996, Sadat recorded on the Red Hot Organization's compilation CD ''America Is Dying Slowly'', alongside Biz Markie, Wu-Tang Clan, Fat Joe and others. The CD, meant to raise awareness of the AIDS epidemic among African American men, was called "a masterpiece" by ''The Source''. Biography Sadat X is involved in teaching children. He has worked as an elementary school teacher in New Rochelle, New York, qualified as a firefighter, and coaches children's basketball for the New York City Basketball League. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. Brand Nubian is an American hip hop group from New Rochelle, New York, composed of three emcees (Grand Puba, Sadat X and Lord Jamar), and formerly three DJs (DJ Alamo, DJ Sincere, and DJ Stud Doogie). ''Foundation'' is the fourth album by hip hop group Brand Nubian. It was released on September 29, 1998, via Arista. The album marked the reunion of the four original members, Grand Puba, Sadat X, Lord Jamar and DJ Alamo, who hadn't released an album together since their 1990 debut '' One for All''. ''Foundation'' saw the group regain their past success, critically and commercially. The single " Don't Let It Go to Your Head" became their biggest ''Billboard'' Hot 100 hit, in 1998, and was remixed by The Neptunes as the 12" single "Take It To Your Head" in the same year. Unlike previous releases, ''Foundation'' mostly features outside production, resulting in an updated sound. DJ Premier, O.Gee, C.L.
