Everybody Loves Sausages
''Everybody Loves Sausages'' is an album of cover songs by the Melvins, released on April 30, 2013. In similar fashion to ''The Crybaby'' it features guests on most of the tracks and even features the Melvins Lite on three tracks. Three of the tracks had been previously released in splits. Black Betty previously appeared on a split 7-inch with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion covering the same track. Female Trouble and Carpe Diem are featured on a split 12-inch with Redd Kross. A nine-part 7-inch Tribute series was released through Amphetamine Reptile Records between 2013 and 2015. Featuring ten songs from the album, seven of them featured bonus cover songs of each respective band. Track listing "Heathen Earth" is not actually a cover but an interpretation in the vein of Throbbing Gristle as there's no actual song by the band with that song title, just one of their albums. Melvins
Melvins (sometimes The Melvins) are an American rock band formed in 1983 in Montesano, Washington. Their early work was key to the development of both grunge and sludge metal. Initially, they performed as a trio but later also sometimes appeared as a quartet, with either two drummers or two bassists. Since 1984, vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne and drummer Dale Crover have been constant members. The band was named after a supervisor at a Thriftway in Montesano, where Osborne also worked as a clerk; "Melvin" was disliked by other employees, and the band's members felt it to be an appropriately ridiculous name. Harris Glenn Milstead (October 19, 1945 – March 7, 1988), better known by his stage name Divine, was an American actor, singer, and drag queen. Closely associated with independent filmmaker John Waters, Divine was a character actor, usually performing female roles in cinematic and theatrical productions, and adopted a female drag persona for his music career. "Attitude" is a song by the British rock band The Kinks, released on their album, '' Low Budget''. It was written by Ray Davies. Background "Attitude" was a late addition to the ''Low Budget'' album, as it was not featured in early running orders of the album (songs such as " Destroyer", "Massive Reductions", and " Give the People What They Want" were used instead in early versions.) Release "Attitude" was first released on the ''Low Budget'' album in 1979 as the opening track of said LP. The next year, a live version of the track appeared on the '' One for the Road'' album. The Scientists
The Scientists is a post-punk band from Perth, Western Australia, led by Kim Salmon, initially known as the Exterminators and then the Invaders. The band had two primary incarnations: the Perth-based punk band of the late 1970s and the Sydney/London-based swamp rock band of the 1980s. In October 2010, ''Blood Red River'' (1983) was included in the list in the book ''100 Best Australian Albums''. Kim Salmon
Kim Leith Salmon (born 24 January 1957) is an Australian rock musician and songwriter from Perth. He has worked in various groups including The Scientists, Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists, Kim Salmon and the Business, and Darling Downs. Huddie William Ledbetter (; January 20, 1888 – December 6, 1949), better known by the stage name Lead Belly, was an American folk and blues singer notable for his strong vocals, virtuosity on the twelve-string guitar, and the folk standards he introduced, including his renditions of "In the Pines", " Goodnight, Irene", " Midnight Special", " Cotton Fields", and " Boll Weevil".
