The second season of the CBS sitcom ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' aired from September 22, 1997 to May 18, 1998. Season overview In the premiere season, ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' was critically acclaimed and considered to be a quality series by CBS executives. While most of its episodes suffered from low ratings due to being scheduled Friday night, the average ratings doubled when it was moved to Monday in March 1997. CBS renewed ''Raymond'' for a second season a month later on April 11, 1997. The second season of ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' was produced by HBO Independent Productions, creator Philip Rosenthal's company Where's Lunch, and David Letterman's Worldwide Pants. While the season continues the episodic format and comedy style established in the first season, there are a few minor differences. Ray Romano
Raymond Albert Romano (born December 21, 1957) is an American stand-up comedian, actor and screenwriter. He is best known for his role as Ray Barone on the CBS sitcom '' Everybody Loves Raymond'', for which he received an Emmy Award, and as the voice of Manny in the ''Ice Age'' film series. He created and starred in the TNT comedy drama '' Men of a Certain Age'' (2009–2011). Andy Kindler (born October 16, 1956) is an American comedian and actor from Queens, New York. Thomas McGowan (born July 26, 1959) is an American actor. He first became known for his stage career both on and off Broadway. Sawyer Sweeten
Sawyer Storm Sweeten (May 12, 1995 – April 23, 2015) was an American child actor, known for playing Geoffrey Barone on the sitcom ''Everybody Loves Raymond''. Early life Sweeten was born in Brownwood, Texas, to parents Timothy Sweeten and Elizabeth Millsap. He had a sister Madylin, and an identical twin brother, Sullivan – all three starring on the CBS sitcom ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' for nine seasons. The Sweeten family moved to California when the twins were six months old; the siblings were cast less than a year later. Later, Sawyer and Sullivan owned a house together in Riverside, California.
