Every Man's Dream
"Every Man's Dream" is the twenty-seventh season premiere of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons'', and the 575th episode of the series overall. The episode was directed by Matthew Nastuk and written by J. Stewart Burns. It aired in the United States on Fox on September 27, 2015. In the episode, Homer and Marge go through a trial separation. During this time, Homer dates a pharmacist and Marge dates the father of said pharmacist. Plot Homer wakes up at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant to an alarm, where he accidentally causes an electrical explosion at his desk. He falls back asleep while the fire is extinguished. He is taken to Springfield General Hospital, where Dr. Hibbert discovers Homer has narcolepsy, a sleeping sickness. He receives a medical note, which he uses to excuse himself from performing daily tasks. Hibbert contacts Marge to ask Homer to get some medication, which he goes to collect. "Big City" is the fifth and last single from the English alternative rock band Spacemen 3. It entered the UK charts at position #88. It was released in January 1991, shortly after the band split up, as a 7", 12" and CD single. The 7" contains a shorter version of the song than the 12". A remixed version was released separately. The 7" edit appears on the band's final album ''Recurring'' under the title "Big City (Everyone I Know Can Be Found Here)". "What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single. It topped the pop chart in the United Kingdom, but performed poorly in the United States because Larry Newton, the president of ABC Records, disliked the song and refused to promote it. After it was heard in the film ''Good Morning, Vietnam'', it was reissued as a single in 1988, and rose to number 32 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Armstrong's recording was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. Composition and production Thiele produced the track under his own name, but as a co-composer was initially credited under the pseudonym George Douglas. His real name has appeared on it from its 1988 issue onward.
