Everton is a town in Boone County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 133 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Harrison Micropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Everton is located at (36.154002, -92.908029). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 km2 (0.5 mi2), all land. Arkansas 206
Highway 206 (AR 206 and Hwy. 206) is a designation for three east–west state highways in the Ozark Mountains. Each segment was created during periods of state highway systemwide expansions ordered by the Arkansas General Assembly to add system mileage in every county, first in 1957, and again in 1973. All are low-traffic highways providing connectivity between rural communities and major highways in the area. All are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Valley Springs High School is a secondary school in Valley Springs, Arkansas, United States. The school is the sole high school serving grades 9 through 12 in the Valley Springs School District. In 2012, Valley Springs was nationally recognized with the Silver Award in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools ranking report. History In 1912, the North Arkansas Conference of Methodist Churches felt a need to establish a high school in the Ozarks. Valley Springs, with its academic background, was selected, and it became Valley Springs Training School. In 1922, the first organized high school was started in an old two-story frame structure on the south hill at Valley Springs. For a dormitory, the school used the old Dr. Hale home above the spring. Ozark Mountain School District (OMSD) is a public school district that provides comprehensive education to its students from prekindergarten to grade 12 and is situated in the Ozark Mountains (hence the name of the district) and covers in northern Arkansas, United States. Within Searcy County the district includes St. Joe, Gilbert, and Pindall. Within Newton County the district includes Western Grove. The district also includes a section of Marion County.
