Evert Nilsson
Evert Reinhold Emanuel "Västervik" Nilsson (22 October 1894 – 14 February 1973) was a Swedish pentathlete and decathlete who competed at the 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics. In 1920 he finished fifth in the decathlon; in the pentathlon he placed tenth, despite not running the 1500 m stage. Four years later he withdrew from the decathlon and pentathlon A pentathlon is a contest featuring five events. Gamleby
Gamleby is the second largest locality situated in Västervik Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden with 2,775 inhabitants in 2010. It is situated about 20 km north-west of Västervik, in the area known as Tjust. Gamleby (which means "old village") was the original location of the town Västervik, first mentioned in 1275 (as Västervik). The 1924 Summer Olympics (french: Jeux olympiques d'été de 1924), officially the Games of the VIII Olympiad (french: Jeux de la VIIIe olympiade) and also known as Paris 1924, were an international multi-sport event held in Paris, France. The opening ceremony was held on 5 July, but some competitions had already started on 4 May. The Games were the second to be hosted by Paris (after 1900), making it the first city to host the Olympics twice.
