Evert Musch
Evert Musch ( Groningen, March 16, 1918 - Anloo, December 5, 2007) was a Dutch painter. Early life Musch studied at Academie Minerva (1936–1940) in his hometown Groningen, where he studied under , Kort and C.P. de Wit. From 1947 to 1981, Musch was lecturer at the Academy Minerva, succeeding his former teacher De Wit. He was a teacher of amongst others , Wim Crouwel and . Musch married in 1943 painter Johanna (To) Jager, whom he had met at Academy Minerva. Musch was a member of the artists movement "De Jongeren" (1941–1942) and of the "Drentse Schilders" (1947–1953). Groningen (; gos, Grunn or ) is the capital city and main municipality of Groningen province in the Netherlands. Anloo
Anloo is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Aa en Hunze, and lies about 10 km east of Assen. History The village was first mentioned in 1139 as Anloe. The etymology in unclear. Anloo is an ''esdorp'' which developed in the Early Middle Ages on the Hondsrug. It was the capital of the ' (medieval judicial area) Oostermoer, one of six ''dingspel''s of Drenthe. The village has two ''brinks'' (village squares). The eastern square contains the church on an elevated position. The western square is elongated and contained the former ''havezate'' (manor house) Elentsborg which was demolished in 1838. Wim Crouwel
Willem Hendrik "Wim" Crouwel (; 21 November 1928 – 19 September 2019) was a Dutch people, Dutch graphic designer, Type design#Profession, type designer, and Typography, typographer. Early life and education Between 1947 and 1949, he studied Fine Arts at Academie Minerva in Groningen, the Netherlands. After graduating from a traditional art school, he served for two years in the military. Fresh out of the military, he was hired by an exhibition company in Amsterdam. During an interview in 2011, Crouwel said that his traditional art training hadn't taught him anything about typography, and that he eventually learned it by attending night classes in typography at what is now the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. The Drents Museum () is an art and history museum in Assen, Drenthe, in the Netherlands. The museum was opened in 1854. It has a collection of prehistorical artifacts, applied art, and visual art. The museum also has temporary exhibitions. In 2013, it had 227,000 visitors. History The museum was founded by the King's Commissioner of Drenthe on 28 November 1854 as the ''Provincial Museum of Drents Antiquities''.
