Everglow
Everglow (, stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by Yuehua Entertainment. The group is composed of six members: E:U, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren. Everglow debuted on March 18, 2019, with the single album ''Arrival of Everglow''. Career Pre-debut activities Sihyeon competed in the first season of Mnet's reality television competition ''Produce 101'' in 2016. She finished in 40th place, and subsequently signed with Yuehua Entertainment. Sihyeon and Yiren competed in ''Produce 48'' but were eliminated in the eleventh episode, finishing in 27th and 28th place, respectively. Kim Si-hyeon
Kim Si-hyeon (, born August 5, 1999) also known as Sihyeon, is a South Korean singer and host. She is the leader of Everglow under Yuehua Entertainment. Early life Kim was born on August 5, 1999, in Bundang-gu, South Korea. Career Pre-debut Kim competed in the first season of Mnet's reality television competition ''Produce 101'' as an individual trainee in 2016. She placed 40th and then signed with Yuehua Entertainment. In 2018, Kim joined the third season of the franchise, ''Produce 48'' alongside future group mate Wang Yiren and Choi Ye-na. ''Reminiscence'' (stylized as reminiscence) is the first extended play by South Korean girl group Everglow under Yuehua Entertainment. The EP was released on February 3, 2020, together with its lead single, "Dun Dun". Background On January 20, 2020, Yuehua Entertainment revealed that Everglow will release their very first mini-album titled ''Reminiscence''. Concept images were released between January 22–24. The tracklist was released on January 25, revealing four tracks: "Salute", lead single "Dun Dun", "Player" and "No Lie". The music video teaser for "Dun Dun" was released on January 29, and the full music video on February 3. ''Hush'' is the second single album by South Korean girl group Everglow. The album was released digitally and physically on August 19, 2019. Background and release On August 4, it was revealed that Everglow would have their first comeback on August 19 with a second single album entitled ''Hush.'' ''Produce 48'' () was the third season of the South Korean reality competition series ''Produce 101''. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 contestants from South Korea and Japan, as well as voting for the group's concept, name and debut single. The show was a collaboration between the Mnet series ''Produce 101'' and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, would promote as a group for two years and six months. Idol School (2017 TV Series)
''Idol School'' () was a 2017 reality girl group survival show on Mnet. The program aimed to form a 9-member girl group from a pool of 41 female participants, training them in singing, dancing and other "subjects" over an 11 week time period. While sharing similarities to another Mnet survival program, ''Produce 101'', the two shows differed in many ways including its number of participants, voting system, and number of winners that will form the final group. Another of the shows greatest differences was how they treated the eliminated contestants. In Idol School, participants where given the chance to continue studying in the 'normal class' for a chance to debut in a future group where they would continue studying in a different class off-campus (off location) under less public scrutiny.
