Everett Bidwell
Everett V. "Cy" Bidwell (October 22, 1899 – January 7, 1991) was a Wisconsin politician who served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and Wisconsin Senate, serving the Wisconsin Senate, District 27, 27th District of Wisconsin. Early life Born in a log cabin in Houston, Minnesota on October 22, 1899, Bidwell was the eldest of seven children. He was raised on a small farm, and at the age of sixteen was left with his father to raise the family when his mother died. Bidwell attended the University of Minnesota and served on the Columbia County, Wisconsin, Columbia County Board of Supervisors for ten years. He was a farmer and an ice cream manufacturer. Career A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, Bidwell was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1953 to 1967 and served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1971 to 1983. Wisconsin Senate, District 27
The 27th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in south-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of western Dane County, northern Green County, eastern Iowa County, eastern Sauk County, and parts of western Columbia County. It includes the cities of Baraboo, Middleton, Portage, and Verona, and the southern half of the city of Fitchburg. The district also contains landmarks such as Blue Mound State Park, Devil's Lake State Park, and Mirror Lake State Park. Current elected officials Jon Erpenbach is the senator representing the 27th district through the end of the 2021–2022 session. Erpenbach did not run for re-election in 2022 and will leave office after representing the district for 24 years. Sauk County is a county in Wisconsin. It is named after a large village of the Sauk people. As of the 2020 census, the population was 65,763. Its county seat and largest city is Baraboo. Russell Dana Feingold ( ; born March 2, 1953) is an American lawyer and politician who served as a United States Senator from Wisconsin from 1993 to 2011.
