Ever After The Musical
''Ever After'' is a 2015 musical, with book and lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich, based on the 1998 film of the same name written by Susannah Grant, Andy Tennant, and Rick Parks. It is loosely based on fairy tale ''Cinderella''. The musical premiered at the Paper Mill Playhouse in May 2015. Background A report in 2012 indicated that a musical theatre production was in the works, with the book and lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich. There was a reading of the musical in 2007 in New York City, starring Elena Shaddow as Danielle and Max von Essen as Prince Henry and directed by Doug Hughes. Zina Goldrich
Zina Goldrich (born 1964) is an American composer known for her work in musical theatre in collaboration with the lyricist Marcy Heisler. Her best-known works as composer include " Ever After The Musical", " Taylor The Latte Boy" and "Alto's Lament". Background Zina Goldrich was born in New York in 1964, at the age of 13 she moved to Los Angeles with her family. Her father was a trumpet player and he used to play with The Mel Lewis/Thad Jones Jazz Orchestra, one of the most important jazz Big Bands in New York and probably in the world, in the Seventies. ''Six'' (stylised in all uppercase) is a British musical comedy with book, music, and lyrics by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. The musical is a modern retelling of the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII presented as a pop concert, as the Queens take turns singing and telling their story to see who suffered the most due to Henry and should, therefore, become the group's lead singer. The musical was first presented by Cambridge University students at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017.
