''Evening Edition'' is an American weather program broadcast by The Weather Channel. ''Evening Edition'' included multiple hours of programming, cut into by long-form programs such as ''When Weather Changed History'', as well as a repeating overnight hour. It broadcast (including long-form programming) every weeknight from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. ET. Program history ''Evening Edition'' debuted in 2001, the first program to cut into the time slot of ''Weather Center'', as part of a shift from 24-hour Weather Center to multiple focused programs that occurred during 2000 and 2001. The multiple-camera setup, multiple-camera mode of production, multi-camera or simply multicam is a method of filmmaking and video production. Several cameras—either film or professional video cameras—are employed on the set and simultaneously record or broadcast a scene. It is often contrasted with a single-camera setup, which uses one camera. Description Generally, the two outer cameras shoot close-up shots or "crosses" of the two most active characters on the set at any given time, while the central camera or cameras shoot a wider master shot to capture the overall action and establish the geography of the room. The Weather Channel (TWC) is an American pay television channel owned by Weather Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Allen Media Group. The channel's headquarters are in Atlanta, Georgia. When Weather Changed History
''When Weather Changed History'' was an American documentary television series that was shown The Weather Channel from 2008 to 2009. It chronicles major events in history and the effect weather had on them. Program History ''When Weather Changed History'' launched on January 6, 2008 with the premiere episode focusing on the space shuttle Challenger explosion. The series premiered with record high ratings for its first season of 10 episodes. As a result, a second season consisting of 14 episodes was ordered. Season 2 premiered on October 5, 2008. The last episode of ''When Weather Changed History'' premiered in February 2009. Currently reruns can be seen, however, the current fate of the program is unknown at this time. In December 2010, The Weather Channel aired a week's worth of Viewer's Choice episodes at 8 p.m. ET. TWC launched a similar series, ''Weather That Changed the World'', on June 9, 2013. ''Weather Center'' (originally ''WeatherScope'') was a news and weather program produced by The Weather Channel in Atlanta, Georgia. Initially, ''Weather Center'' was the lone program for The Weather Channel. By 2000, the show had started being significantly pared down. By the end of 2008, ''Weather Center'' only aired for one hour a day during the week and two hours on weekends. The 4pm hour of ''Weather Center'' (2006 to 2009) was replaced by ''PM Edition''. Jim Cantore
James D. Cantore (born February 16, 1964) is an American meteorologist. He is best known as an on-air personality for The Weather Channel. Career A native of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, who was raised in White River Junction, Vermont, Cantore graduated from Lyndon State College in 1986. The Weather Channel gave him his first job out of college in July of that year and he has worked there ever since. Cantore has become one of the best-known meteorologists on television. ''PM Edition'' was a weather program on The Weather Channel, an American television station. It focused on weather conditions for the evening commute. It also recapped the day's weather and delivered the forecast for tomorrow.
