Lordan Zafranović
Lordan Zafranović (born 11 February 1944) is a Czech-Croatian film director. He was a major figure of the Yugoslav Black Wave. Early life Lordan Zafranović was born in 1944 in Maslinica, island of Šolta, Dalmatia, during the fascist occupation of Yugoslavia. He spent the first two years of his life in the El Shatt refugee camp together with his mother Marija and his older brother Zdenko. After the war, the family reunited with father Ivan and moved to Split, where younger brother Andrija was born. He graduated in ship-engineering from the Split Marine School in 1962 and continued with studies in literature and fine arts at the Split Pedagogical Academy (later University of Split) from 1963 to 1967. Ivo Gregurević (; 7 October 1952 – 1 January 2019) was a Croatian film, theatre and television actor. Throughout over a quarter of a century, Gregurević played rural bullies and arrogant nouveau riche and became one of Croatia's best known and most lauded character actors. Mirko Kovač (26 December 1938 – 19 August 2013) was a Yugoslav writer. In his rich career he wrote novels, short stories, essays, film scripts, TV and radio plays. Early life Born to father Mensur Kurić from Niš whose family traces its origins to Donji Vakuf in Bosnia and Herzegovina and mother Nada Wasche from Sarajevo, Irfan grew up in Sarajevo's Dolac Malta neighbourhood. Mustafa Nadarević (2 May 1943 – 22 November 2020) was a Bosnian and Croatian actor.
