Evan Crawford (rugby Union)
Evan Crawford is a New Zealand former rugby union player and a current coach. Crawford started his coach career in his home country, being Rugby Development Manager for NZRU during four years. He was responsible for the entire player and coach development. He was named as head coach of Portugal in 1999, succeeding João Paulo Bessa and was at the helm of the "Lobos" for 18 months, until September 2001. During this time he increased the results of the Portuguese side, improving his standings in the IRB World ranking from 33 to 15. He later was Head of Coach Department at the RFU, in Twickenham, England. Portugal National Rugby Union Team
The Portugal national rugby union team (Portuguese: Seleção Portuguesa de Rugby), nicknamed Os Lobos (''The Wolves''), represents Portugal in men's international rugby union competitions. The team as well as all rugby union in Portugal is administered by the Federação Portuguesa de Rugby. Portugal qualified for their first Rugby World Cup in 2007 where they were grouped in Pool C along with New Zealand, Italy, Romania and Scotland. They are nicknamed Os Lobos. Portugal have experienced modest success in the last two decades. João Paulo Bessa
João Paulo de Castro Silva Bessa (born Porto, 25 April 1947) is a Portuguese architect, journalist and a former rugby union player and coach. He also played football and tennis. Career Bessa begun his Architecture studies at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto (ESBAP) and finished it at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes de Lisboa (ESBAL) in 1973. He first played at CDUP (1965/66-1967/68) but moved then to CDUL (1968/69-1980/81) in Lisbon. He had 5 caps for Portugal, from 1969 to 1974. After ending his playing career, he became a coach. He was the National Team coach from 1983 to 1986 and from 1994 to 1999. The Rugby Football Union (RFU) is the Sports governing body, national governing body for rugby union in England. It was founded in 1871, and was the sport's international governing body prior to the formation of what is now known as World Rugby (WR) in 1886. Twickenham
Twickenham is a suburban district in London, England. It is situated on the River Thames southwest of Charing Cross. The Wellington Rugby Football Union (known as the Wellington Lions for competition reasons) are a New Zealand governing body of rugby union in the New Zealand province of Wellington Region. Tomaz Morais
Tomaz Eduardo Carvalho Morais (born 6 April 1970 in Lobito, Angola) is a Portuguese rugby union coach and a former player. Life and career The son of Portuguese settlers in Angola, Morais moved to Portugal following the 25 April 1974 revolution. He went on to become a Physical Education teacher and a rugby union player, playing as a centre for Cascais. He took some time off from the sport because of his studies, but later returned to play for Direito. He won 6 titles of the National Championship and 2 Iberian Cups. Morais won 20 caps for Portugal national rugby union team, scoring a try, from 1991 to 1995. He had to retire from rugby in 1996 due to a serious injury.
