Evacuate (band)
Evacuate is an American six piece punk rock band from Southern California, founded in 2007. With influences ranging from the Sex Pistols, Chelsea, U.K. Subs, Broken Bones, Negative Approach and the English Dogs, Evacuate's releases and live sets cover a wide range of the punk rock spectrum. History Beginning: 2007-2008 Started by founding members vocalist Mike Virus (ex- The Virus/ Cheap Sex) and lead guitarist Karlos Evacuate (ex-Lab Rats), also featuring ex Cheap Sex members Brock on bass and guitarist Phil, and Ryan on drums. The original lineup wrote the first two Evacuate songs, "Convenience Killed Mankind" and "In My Dreams". Months later Phil, Brock and Ryan left to form side projects, and Mike and Karlos carried on recruiting bass player Sean, guitarist John A. (All Out Attak) and Danny (2nd Hand Justice) on drums. In music performances, rhythm guitar is a technique and role that performs a combination of two functions: to provide all or part of the rhythmic pulse in conjunction with other instruments from the rhythm section (e.g., drum kit, bass guitar); and to provide all or part of the harmony, i.e. the chords from a song's chord progression, where a chord is a group of notes played together. Rebellion Festival
The Rebellion Festival, formerly Holidays in the Sun and the Wasted Festival is a British punk rock festival first held in 1996. The festival has attracted mainstream press coverage from such sources as The Guardian, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph and Kerrang. The first festival in 1996 was held at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool England. It is still held there now, although on some years the festival has been held in nearby Morecambe. Festivals have also been held under the Rebellion and earlier brand names in Australia, United States, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, the Basque Country, Ireland and Austria. Fear, stylized as FEAR, is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1977. The band is credited for helping to shape the sound and style of Californian hardcore punk. Cheap Sex
Cheap Sex is an American street punk band formed in December 2002, based in San Diego, California. Besides releasing three albums, the band participated in some compilations, including the Pure Punk Rock DVD, released by Punk Core Records, also featuring Action, the Casualties, Blood or Whiskey, Defiance, the Havoc, Lower Class Brats, the Messengers, the Scarred and the Virus, the last one being Mike Virus' previous band. History After Mike left the Virus, he decided to form a new band, taking the name Cheap Sex because it was catchy and funny.
