Eva Tropí Hlouposti
''Eva Fools Around'' ( cs, Eva tropí hlouposti) is a Czech comedy film directed by Martin Frič. It was released in 1939. Plot Eva Norová goes to visit her aunt Pa for her 60th birthday. Pa's wish is to learn how to grow the kind of roses that her neighbour, factory owner Záhorský has cultivated. However, aunt Pa is not on friendly terms with her neighbour. Eva applies for a job as a secretary in order to steal the instructions for growing the roses. Meanwhile, Eva's brother Michal, who has fallen in love with Záhorský's daughter Eliška, also makes his way to the Záhorský residence. Eva in turn falls in love with the Záhorskýs' secretary, Jiří Kučera, who has nestled his way into the family in order to win back his stolen family jewels. When Eva brings the instructions for growing the roses to her aunt, she finds out that she already got them a week earlier from Záhorský's daughter Eliška, and Eva returns the instructions. Martin Frič
Martin Frič (29 March 1902 – 26 August 1968) was a Czech film director, screenwriter and actor. He had more than 100 directing credits between 1929 and 1968, including feature films, shorts and documentary films. Throughout his life, Frič struggled with alcoholism. On the day of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, he attempted suicide, after battling cancer. He died in the hospital five days later. Bolek (died 1819), also spelled as Boleck or Bolechs, and known as Bowlegs by European Americans, was a Seminole principal chief, of the Alachua chiefly line. He was the younger brother of King Payne, who succeeded their father Cowkeeper (known to the Seminole as ''Ahaya'') as leading or principal chief in Florida. Bolek succeeded King Payne in 1812 when he was killed. Early life and education Bolek was one of several children born to Ahaya ( Cowkeeper) and his wife. He and his older brother King Payne were groomed by their mother's brother (in the matrilineal kinship system) to become chiefs and take leading roles among the Seminole. They inherited that role through their mother's people, who were descended from the Alachua chiefly line. Raoul Marian Kristian Schránil (24 March 1910 – 20 September 1998) was a Czech film actor. Life Schránil was born in Most on 24 March 1910. His father Rudolf Schránil was a government secretary. His mother Alexandra Poláková was a singer. Shortly after his birth he moved to Vienna with his parents. During the World War I he was sent to live with his grandmother in Chotětov. After the war his family moved to Prague. His family friend was an opera singer Emmy Destinn. Schránil was expelled from high school in Prague and went to study in Germany and later in Dijon, France. He spoke Czech, French, German and English. After a recommendation from his cousin, a film director Karl Anton, he was hired in Vlasta Burian's theatre in 1935.
