Eva Sørensen
Eva Sørensen (February 14, 1940 - December 31, 2019) was a prolific Danish sculptor and ceramist whose granite and marble works are exhibited in museums and public spaces across Denmark. She died in Verbania in Italy. Life and work Born in Herning on 14 February 1940, Sørensen was the daughter of the manufacturer Niels Sørensen and his wife Magda Johanne Benedikte Thomasen. After matriculating from Herning Gymnasium in 1958, she moved to Copenhagen where she became an apprentice with the painter Mogens Andersen. Although she is now a recognized sculptor, she was initially interested in ceramics. Aware that she needed to pursue her studies abroad, in 1959 she went to Paris, where she studied at the Académie du Feu under László Szabó. The following year she returned to Denmark, where she became a student of the ceramist Christian Poulsen in Lyngby. Næstved () is a town in the municipality of the same name, located in the southern part of the island of Zealand in Denmark. Næstved has several adult education centers, five elementary schools - and has at least one of each type of the four upper-second-level education centers. Grønningen
Grønningen is a Danish artists cooperative whose members arrange exhibitions and similar events. Founded in 1915, it is one of the oldest and most important groupings of its kind in Denmark and currently has 54 members. It is named after the street Grønningen in Copenhagen where the first art exhibition was held. Initially, it brought together artists interested in radical and experimental art who had been members of Den Frie Udstilling ("The Free Exhibition"). Most prominent in the early years were artists such as Harald Giersing, Sigurd Swane, Olaf Rude, William Scharff, Fritz Syberg and Johannes Larsen. They were soon joined by Vilhelm Lundstrøm, Svend Johansen, Axel Salto, Jens Søndergaard, Niels Lergaard, Erik Hoppe, Christine Swane, Astrid Noack and Gottfred Eickhoff. Tårnby
Tårnby () is a town in Denmark, the seat of Tårnby Municipality in the Capital Region of Denmark. It is located approximately south of central Copenhagen on the island of Amager. Neighbouring settlements include the Copenhagen suburb of Sundbyvester to the north and Kastrup to the south. Copenhagen Airport is situated to the east of Tårnby. It includes the islets Saltholm and Peberholm. Fakse
Faxe or Fakse is a town on the island of Zealand in eastern Denmark. It is located in Faxe Municipality in Region Zealand. The town is most known for the Faxe Brewery, Royal Unibrew, a relatively large brewery producing a range of beer and soft drinks, soda, energy drinks, Faxe Kondi and many more and so on.
