Eva Gray (cricketer)
Eva Gray (born 24 May 2000) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Surrey, Sunrisers and Oval Invincibles. She plays as a right-arm medium bowler. She previously played for Surrey Stars and South East Stars. Domestic career Gray made her county debut in 2014, for Surrey against Essex. Gray was part of the Surrey team that won promotion from Division 2 of the County Championship in 2018, and she took 11 wickets at an average of 13.00 in the tournament, as well as hitting her maiden county half-century, scoring 52 * against Essex. In 2019, Gray achieved her best Twenty20 bowling figures, taking 4/16 against Middlesex. She took two wickets for the side in the 2021 Women's Twenty20 Cup. Fast bowling (also referred to as pace bowling) is one of two main approaches to bowling in the sport of cricket, the other being spin bowling. Practitioners of pace bowling are usually known as ''fast'' bowlers, ''quicks'', or ''pacemen''. 2018 Women's Cricket Super League
The 2018 Women's Cricket Super League, or 2018 Kia Super League for sponsorship reasons, was the third season of the Women's Cricket Super League (WCSL), the semi-professional women's cricket competition in England and Wales. The competition, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), consisted of six franchise teams playing in a Twenty20 format. Western Storm were the defending champions. Surrey Stars won the competition, defeating Loughborough Lightning by 66 runs in the final. Smriti Mandhana, an Indian player for Western Storm, was named player of the tournament, after she finished as the tournament's top run-scorer. The 2022 season of The Hundred will be the second season of The Hundred, a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The competition will return after its first season, which was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and faced strong opposition from traditional cricket fans. The 2022 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the third edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, an English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition, which took place between 2 July and 25 September 2022. It featured eight teams playing in a round-robin group, followed by a knock-out round. The holders were the Southern Vipers, who won the first two editions of the competition. It ran alongside the Charlotte Edwards Cup. The tournament was named after former England captain Rachael Heyhoe Flint, Baroness Heyhoe-Flint, who died in 2017. Northern Diamonds finished top of the group stage, qualifying directly for the final. Southern Vipers
The Southern Vipers are a women's cricket team that represent the South of England. The Vipers wear an orange and black kit and play their home matches at the Ageas Bowl and the County Cricket Ground, Hove. They are currently coached by former England Women's captain and former player Charlotte Edwards. The Southern Vipers are partnered with Hampshire, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight Cricket Board.
