The Euskal Herriko Futbol Txapelketa (Basque Country Football Championship) is a regional football friendly competition run by Euskal Herria Kirola ''(Basque Country Sport)''. It is contested by teams from the Basque Country that play in La Liga. It was first played in the 2016–17 season. Format In the regular season, the scores of the games in La Liga played between the region's teams ('Basque football derbies') are used to create the standings. The best two teams qualify for the final, played in a neutral stadium. 2020–21 La Liga
The 2020–21 La Liga season, also known as La Liga Santander due to sponsorship reasons, was the 90th since its establishment. The season began on 12 September 2020 and concluded on 23 May 2021. The fixtures were announced on 31 August 2020. Real Madrid were the defending champions, after winning a record 34th title in the previous season. Huesca, Cádiz and Elche joined as the promoted clubs from the 2019–20 Segunda División. They replaced Espanyol, Mallorca and Leganés, who were relegated to the 2020–21 Segunda División. Juan Miguel Jiménez López (; born 20 May 1993), known as Juanmi , is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for La Liga club Real Betis as a forward. He came through the youth ranks at Málaga, starting in its reserves and making his first-team debut in 2010, also spending time on loan at Racing de Santander in 2013. Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia (; ; born 11 February 1981) is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a striker.
