European route E 35 (E 35) is a north–south European route, running from Amsterdam in the Netherlands to Rome in Italy. In Germany, the highway runs from the Dutch border near Elten, through Oberhausen, Düsseldorf and Cologne to the Swiss border between Weil am Rhein and Basel. The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (german: Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr, ), abbreviated BMDV, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its main office is located in Berlin, while the majority of its civil servants and employees work in Bonn, the secondary seat. The Ministry itself has about 1300 employees. At the top is the Federal Minister, and there are two Parliamentary Secretaries, who are also Member of the Bundestag, and two civil servant undersecretaries. The ministry oversees 63 downstream agencies and authorities where around 25,000 people work. Ladenburg is a town in northwestern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It lies on the right bank of the river Neckar, northwest of Heidelberg and east of Mannheim. The town's history goes back to the Celtic and Roman Ages, when it was called Lopodunum. Emperor Trajan elevated it to city status ('civitas') in 98 AD. Bergstraße (; "Mountain Road") is a ''Kreis'' (district) in the south of Hesse, Germany. It is at the northern end of the Bergstraße route. Griesheim (Hesse)
Griesheim () is a town in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in Hesse, Germany. It is situated west of Darmstadt. History The area of Griesheim has been inhabited since around 4500 BCE yet it was first mentioned in 1165 CE. Wine was an important source of income in Griesheim in earlier times. The Thirty Year War hit Griesheim hard. The surviving inhabitants fled behind the walls of the Darmstadt, where many of them died of the plague. By the end of the war in 1648 only about 370 were left, who set out to rebuild the community. The late 18th, early 19th Century a major industry was the production and trade of fir tree seeds. The city also became a center of woodwork-craft. The Protestant Reformation was introduced to the town in 1529. In 1874 in the southwest part of Griesheim an artillery range opened. Groß-Gerau is a Kreis (district) in the south of Hesse (''Hessen'' in German), Germany. Neighboring districts are Main-Taunus, district-free Frankfurt, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Bergstraße, Alzey-Worms, Mainz-Bingen, and the district-free cities Mainz and Wiesbaden. Neuwied () is a district (''Kreis'') in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Langenfeld ( Ripuarian: ''Langefääl'') is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany) in the district of Mettmann. The suburban city is located between Düsseldorf and Cologne. Langenfeld was formed from the two localities of Richrath and Reusrath and received city rights in 1948. Economics Langenfeld has no public debt as of October 3, 2008. Mettmann () is a Kreis (district) in the middle of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
