''European Song'' is an album by electronica group Kreidler, released in April 2017. Production The album was recorded in a one-day session, to replace an already finished album the band withdraw after Donald Trump won the US presidential elections. The recording session took place in Ralf Beck's studio Uhrwald Orange in Hilden, North Rhine-Westphalia, on 21 November 2016, assisted by Sebastian Lee Philipp. Mixing took place at Paulick Saal Berlin, 13 Floor Elevator Berlin, and Spree Park Studios. Mastering and vinyl cut at Manmade Mastering Berlin by Mike Grinser. Artwork The cover artwork is by artist Rosemarie Trockel. Kreidler is a German band from Düsseldorf, which was founded in 1994. The band combines electronic and analog instruments, and is categorized by critics, depending on the publication, as electronic music, pop, avant-garde, post rock, IDM, ambient, neoclassical, krautrock, or electronica. Kreidler was the inscription on a T-shirt worn by Andreas Reihse on the day when the band ''Deux Baleines Blanches'' sought a new name. It was subsequently interpreted as a kind of anagram for Klein, Reihse, Schneider, Weinrich. Hilden is a town in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is situated in the District of Mettmann, west of Solingen and east of Düsseldorf on the right side of the Rhine. The album consists of 5 songs, which include collaborations with poets/vocalists Nesindano Namises, and Ricardo Domeneck. The album was released on cd, vinyl, limited red vinyl, and digitally. Edited versions of ''Flood IV'' and ''Celeration'' were separately released as digital singles on ''Spotify'' as well as videos for ''Nesindano'' and ''Eurydike'' on ''Youtube''.
