European Children’s Film Association
European Children’s Film Association (ECFA) is an organization on films for children and young people. Founded in 1988, it has more than 60 members mostly companies and organizations, from 23 different countries. ECFA is located in Belgium and its current president is Margret Albers. ECFA Awards ECFA presents their annual ECFA Awards for ''Best European Children’s Film'', ''Best European Doc Award'' and ''Best European Short Award''. 2020 The ceremony was held at the ''European Children’s Film Community Party'' during the annual Berlinale film festival, on 22 February. 2019 Belgian film ''Binti'' won ECFA Award and 2018 Russian film ''How big is the galaxy'', won ECFA Doc Award. A children's film, or family film, is a film genre that contains children or relates to them in the context of home and family. Children's films are made specifically for children and not necessarily for a general audience, while family films are made for a wider appeal with a general audience in mind. Children's films come in several major genres like realism, fantasy, adventure, war, musicals, comedy, and literary adaptations. UNAOC
The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) is an initiative that attempts to "galvanize international action against extremism" through the forging of international, intercultural and interreligious dialogue and cooperation. The Alliance places a particular emphasis on defusing tensions between the Western and Islamic worlds. The initiative was first proposed by the Prime Minister of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, at the 59th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in 2005. The Nordic Information Centre for Media and Communication Research (Nordicom) is a non-profit knowledge center based at the University of Gothenburg that works to collect and communicate media and communication research and facts conducted in the Nordic countries. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the "Film festival#Notable festivals, Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France.
