The 1963 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1963, was the thirteenth FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship, held by FIBA Europe. Sixteen national teams affiliated with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) entered the competition. The tournament was hosted by Poland, and held in Wrocław. Jaak Lipso
Jaak Lipso (born April 18, 1940) is a retired Estonian professional basketball player, who competed for the Soviet Union. He is the only Estonian basketball player who has won two medals at the Olympic Games. Lipso has also won two medals at the FIBA World Championship and he is a three-time Eurobasket champion with the Soviet Union national basketball team. Janusz Wiktor Wichowski (6 October 1935 in Chełm - 31 January 2013 in Valenciennes) was a Polish professional basketball player and coach. Bohdan Likszo
Bohdan Stanisław Likszo (alternate spelling: Bogdan) (1 January 1940 in Vilnius (Wilno), Soviet occupated Poland – 11 December 1993 in Kraków) was a Polish professional basketball player. Alexander Yakovlevich Gomelsky (russian: Александр Яковлевич Гомельский; 18 January 1928 – 16 August 2005) was a Russian professional basketball player and coach. The Father of Soviet and Russian basketball, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995 and the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2007.
