Euro Super Series
The Euro Super Series is a curling tournament held annually in August at the National Curling Academy in Stirling, Scotland. The event, which is put on by British Curling was first held in 2021 in a bid to "launch a new era of high class competition (in Europe)". Since 2022, the men's and women's events are held a week apart. The purse for both the men's and women's events is £20,000, with the winners receiving £6,000. The inaugural event saw team "GB Red" skipped by Rebecca Morrison defeat Sweden's Isabella Wranå in the women's final. British Curling decided to split their nine player team into two squads for the event (red and blue) in preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics. In the men's final, Switzerland's Yannick Schwaller defeated Scotland's Ross Whyte. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. The purpose is to accumulate the highest score for a ''game''; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each ''end'', which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones once. A game usually consists of eight or ten ends. The player can induce a curved path, described as ''curl'', by causing the stone to slowly rotate as it slides. Korey Dropkin
Korey Dropkin (born June 11, 1995) is an American curler originally from Southborough, Massachusetts. Curling career Juniors As a junior curler, Dropkin won three United States Junior Curling Championships, playing third for brother Stephen in 2012 and skipping in 2013 and 2016 while curling at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. As such, he played for the United States at the World Junior Curling Championships, finishing 5th at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships and 7th at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships. Dropkin was a member of the U.S. team at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, skipping a team that included Sarah Anderson, Thomas Howell and Taylor Anderson. Amos Mosaner
Amos Mosaner (born 12 March 1995 in Trento) is an Italian curler from Cembra. He is an Olympic gold medallist, having won the mixed doubles event at the 2022 Winter Olympics with partner Stefania Constantini. Career Juniors As a junior curler, Mosaner represented Italy in four World Junior Curling Championships. He played third for Italy at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships on a team skipped by Andrea Pilzer. The team finished 9th. Mosaner then became skip of the Italian junior team for the next three World Juniors. Robin Brydone
Robin Brydone (born 29 October 1996) is a Scottish curler from Perth, Scotland. He is currently the skip of the Team Ross Whyte rink. Career Juniors Brydone was the alternate on the Bruce Mouat rink representing Scotland that won a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Curling Championships. Brydone played in one game at the tournament, subbing in for Bobby Lammie in their game against Denmark after Lammie fell ill. The following year, Brydone played third on the Cameron Bryce rink which won the 2017 Scottish Junior Curling Championships. The team represented Scotland at the 2017 World Junior Curling Championships, where after finished the round robin with a 6–3 record. Marcel Käufeler
Marcel Käufeler (born 19 January 1994 in Wettingen, Switzerland) is a retired Swiss curler. Career Käufeler joined the Yannick Schwaller rink at lead for the 2016–17 season. The team also included Romano Meier at third and Reto Keller at second. The team did not have very much success in their first season together and the teams second Reto Keller was replaced Käufeler's junior skip Michael Brunner for the 2017–18 season. Team Schwaller won their first tour event at the 2017 Qinghai International, losing only one game en route to claiming the title. Romano Meier (born 14 April 1995 in Baden) is a Swiss curler from Ehrendingen. He currently plays second on Team Michael Brunner. Career Juniors In 2012, Meier represented Switzerland for the first time internationally at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics. The team also included Michael Brunner, Elena Stern and Lisa Gisler. The team finished the round robin with a 6–1 record and then won all three of their playoff games to secure the gold medal. Meier was a member of the Swiss junior men's team, skipped by Yannick Schwaller, at three straight World Junior Curling Championships. Stefania Constantini (born April 15, 1999) is an Italian curler from Cortina d'Ampezzo. She currently skips the Italian National Women's Curling Team. She has played in three World Championships (2018, 2021, and 2022), five European Championships (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022) and the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics. She won a bronze medal at the 2017 European Curling Championships and a gold medal in mixed doubles at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Career Constantini made her international curling debut at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics in the mixed team as third for Luca Rizzolli. Delaney Strouse
Delaney Strouse (born July 12, 2000) is an American curler from Midland, Michigan. She currently skips her own team out of Traverse City. She is a two-time champion of the United States Junior Curling Championships, going on to win the bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships and the 2023 Winter World University Games. Career Strouse made her first appearance at the international level representing Michigan at the 2016 U18 International Curling Championships. Bruce Mouat (; born 27 August 1994 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish curler. He is an Olympic silver medallist, having skipped Great Britain to a second place finish in the men's team event at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Career Mouat had a very successful junior career, winning two Scottish junior championships in 2015 and 2016. He skipped the Scottish team at the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships, where he led his team of Duncan Menzies, Derrick Sloan and Angus Dowell to a bronze medal.
