Eurico Gaspar Dutra
Eurico Gaspar Dutra (; 18 May 1883 – 11 June 1974) was a Brazilian military leader and politician who served as the 16th president of Brazil from 1946 to 1951. He was the first President of the Fourth Brazilian Republic, which followed the Vargas Regime. Biography Dutra was born in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. He later falsified his birth year to 1885, at age 19, so that he would have a physical compatible with the age, in order to facilitate his entry into the Army. He studied at the Preparatory and Tactical School of Rio Grande do Sul (1902-1904) and at the Military Academy of Brazil (Military School of ‘’Praia Vermelha’’ in Rio de Janeiro) in 1904, of which he was expelled for taking part in an uprising that same year, related to the Vaccine Revolt, but pardoned, returned to school, now based in Realengo, completing the course in 1906. Francisco Eurico da Silva (born 12 September 1962) more commonly known as Pastor Eurico is a Brazilian politician and pastor. Although born in São Paulo, he has spent his political career representing Pernambuco, having served as federal deputy representative since 2011. Personal life Silva was born to João Eurico da Silva and Djanira Soares da Silva. He is a pastor of the Assembleias de Deus church. Political career Silva was the author of a bill known in Brazil as "Gay Cure", which allows treatments aimed at reversing homosexuality. The bill, which had already been presented by other parliamentarians and was widely criticized during the 2013 protests in Brazil, amends resolutions of the Brazilian Federal Council of Psychology that prohibit psychologists from considering homosexuality a disease or that try to reverse sexual orientation. Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport , formerly called Goiabeiras Airport after the neighborhood where it is located, is the airport serving Vitória, Brazil. Since 9 May 2006, it is named after Eurico de Aguiar Salles (1910–1959) a local politician and law professor. It is operated by Zurich Airport Brasil. History The airport was built in the 1930s and in 1943 a concrete runway and a passenger terminal were built. In 2005 renovation works started at the airport. Projects included a passenger terminal located on a second runway and a control tower. The old terminal was converted into an international cargo terminal. The construction costed initially BRL 300 million, was paralyzed several times in 2006 and 2007 leaving construction virtually abandoned and delayed by overpricing and diversion of funds. It is about the ending days of the Visigoth kingdom that existed in the Iberian Peninsula, as the Moors invaded it in the 8th century. Plot The plot tells of the love of Eurico and Hermengarda, and is set in the Visigoth ruled Iberian Peninsula of the 8th century. Eurico de Jesus (born 10 June 1977) is a Macanese racing driver currently competing in the Macau Touring Car Championship. He is a former World Touring Car Championship driver, who made his debut in 2012. Eurico Rosa da Silva (born June 29, 1975, in Buri, São Paulo, Brazil) is a retired Thoroughbred racing jockey who raced for five years in his native Brazil and another four years in Macau before coming to Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. While based in Canada, he also won races in the United States. Silva got his first Canadian Triple Crown win in 2009 when he rode Eye of the Leopard to victory in the Queen's Plate, and won that race again in 2010 aboard Big Red Mike. Eurico Barros Gomes Guterres (born in Waitame, Uatolari, Viqueque, Portuguese Timor, 4 July 1969) is a pro-Indonesian, anti-Timorese independence militiaman recruited by the Indonesian military during East Timor's bid for independence between 1999 and 2000. He was involved in several massacres in East Timor, and was a chief militia leader during the post-independence massacres and destruction of the capital Dili. Eurico Monteiro Gomes (born 29 September 1955), known simply as Eurico in his playing days, is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a central defender, and is a manager. He started out at Benfica and later played for Sporting and Porto, becoming the second player to have represented the Big Three in his country and the only to have been champion in all three clubs (twice with each).
