Eurema Smilax
''Eurema smilax'', the small grass yellow, is a small pierid butterfly species found in Australia, including Lord Howe Island. It is also present on Java. The wingspan is about 30 mm. The upper surfaces of the wings are yellow with a black band around the edge, and a black dot near the middle. The undersides are yellow with variable brown markings. The species exhibits seasonal ''wet-season'' and ''dry-season'' forms. Edward Donovan
Edward Donovan (1768 – 1 February 1837) was an Anglo-Irish writer, natural history illustrator, and amateur zoologist. He did not travel, but collected, described and illustrated many species based on the collections of other naturalists. His many books were successful in his time. He died penniless in 1837 leaving a large family destitute. Personal life Almost nothing is known about Donovan's family background, education or early life, although he is known to have been born in Cork, Ireland, and was originally surnamed O'Donovan. He is presumed to have had some independent wealth. His health declined in later years and he died penniless at his home in John Street in 1837 leaving a large family destitute. ''Senna artemisioides'', the wormwood senna, is a species of flowering plant in the pea family Fabaceae. It is endemic to Australia, where it is found in all mainland states and territories. Other common names include silver senna, silver cassia or feathery cassia - although "cassia" generally refers to the largest-growing Cassiinae. Some of its distinct subspecies also have common names of their own. The Latin specific epithet ''artemisioides'' means “resembling ''Artemisia''”, a different group of plants often known as wormwood. Description This is an evergreen shrub that grows up to in height.
