2018 European Road Cycling Championships
The 2018 European Road Cycling Championships was the 24th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, and took place from 12 to 15 July 2018 in Brno, Czech Republic for the under-23 and junior events, and from 5 to 9 August 2018 in Glasgow, United Kingdom for the elite events. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 6 time trials, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). The elite portion of the Championships in Glasgow formed a section of both a first unified UEC European Cycling Championships, and the first multi-sport European Championships. Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. Since 2005, the race has been organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. The third running of the women's event of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne, also called Lotto Women Classic Bruges–De Panne, was held on 20 October 2020. 2020 European Road Championships
The 2020 European Road Cycling Championships was the 26th running of the European Road Cycling Championships that took place from 24 to 28 August 2020 in Plouay, France. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 7 time trials. Location On 10 June 2019, it was announced that Trentino, Italy would host this event from 9 to 13 September 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy, the UEC and Trentino officials decided to postpone the city's hosting of the event to 2021. It was later announced in July that Plouay, France would step up to host the event from 24 to 28 August 2020, with the city also hosting the French National Road Race and Time Trial Championships the week prior, as well as the Bretagne Classic and GP de Plouay – Bretagne on 25 and 26 August, respectively. French National Road Race Championships
The French National Road Race Championship is a cycling race where the French cyclists decide who will become the champion for the year to come. The event was established in 1899, a professional championship was established in 1907 and the women's championship was established in 1951. Several additional categories were added later. The record for victories is by one of the best female cyclists, Jeannie Longo, who has so far won 20 road championships. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic cycling jersey which is blue, white and red, just like the national flag, these colours can be worn by the rider at other road racing events in the country to show their status as national champion. The champion's stripes can be combined into a sponsored rider's team kit design for this purpose. 2019 European Road Championships
The 2019 European Road Cycling Championships was the 25th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, that took place from 7 to 11 August 2019 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 7 time trials, including the introduction of the new mixed team relay, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). Location The organization was initially awarded to Annecy, France, but the organisers there wanted different dates due to the busy tourism season in August and eventually returned the assignment. The UEC then asked the Dutch province of Drenthe to organise the European Championships, after their bid to organize the World Championships was rejected. In January there were several Dutch cities in the running, of which one fell after the other.
