Eugenio D'Ors
Eugenio d'Ors Rovira (Barcelona, 28 September 1882 – Vilanova i la Geltrú, 25 September 1954) was a Spanish writer, essayist, journalist, philosopher and art critic. He wrote in both Catalan and Spanish, sometimes under the pseudonym of ''Xènius'' (). Biography Born in Barcelona in 1882, Eugenio d'Ors initiated himself in the modernist literary environments. He participated in his younger years, between nineteen and twenty-five years, in this aesthetic. He studied law in Barcelona and received his PhD degree in Madrid. He collaborated from 1906 on in ''La Veu de Catalunya'' and was a member of Catalan Noucentisme. He was the secretary of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans in 1911 and director of the ''Instrucció Pública de la Mancomunitat de Catalunya'' (Commonwealth of Catalonia) in 1917, but he left in 1920 after Enric Prat de la Riba's death. Enric Prat De La Riba
Enric Prat de la Riba i Sarrà (; 29 November 1870 – 1 August 1917) was a Catalan politician, lawyer and writer. He was a member of the , where one of the earliest definitions of Catalan nationalism was formulated. He became the first President of the Commonwealth of Catalonia on 6 April 1914 and retained this office until his death. He wrote the book and political manifesto '' La nacionalitat catalana'' in which greater autonomy to Catalonia was advocated. He died in 1917 and is interred in the Montjuïc Cemetery in Barcelona. Juan d'Ors was born in Madrid, Spain, December 8, 1957. His grandfather was the philosopher and art critic Eugenio d'Ors. He is the son of Juan Pablo d'Ors Pérez, a humanist doctor, and María Luisa Fuhrer, a philologist. He is a singer, musician, actor, writer, film-maker, and "Tintin" expert ("Tintinologist"). Álvaro D'Ors Pérez-Peix
Álvaro Jordi d'Ors Rovira y Pérez-Peix (14 April 1915 – 1 February 2004) was a Spanish scholar of Roman law, currently considered one of the best 20th-century experts on the field; he served as professor at the universities of Santiago de Compostela and Pamplona. He was also theorist of law and political theorist, responsible for development of Traditionalist vision of state and society. Politically he supported the Carlist cause. Though he did not hold any official posts within the organization, he counted among top intellectuals of the movement; he was member of the advisory council of the Carlist claimant. Burgos () is a city in Spain located in the autonomous community of Castile and León. It is the capital and most populated municipality of the province of Burgos.
