Eugenia Romanelli (born March 11, 1972) is an Italian author and journalist. Biography Romanelli was born in Rome on March 11, 1972. She is the eldest daughter of philosophy teacher, Maria Cristina Marinelli, and historian, Raffaele Romanelli. Due to her father's professional responsibilities she later moved to Florence. She was joined in a civil union with La Repubblica journalist Rory Capelli by Monica Cirinnà. The couple have a daughter. The 2014 court ruling that recognises the double parenthood of the same-sex couple was the second of its kind to be handed down in Italy. It was signed by Judge Melita Cavallo, after the first official technical report on this subject matter written in Italy. ''Eugenia'' is a genus of flowering plants in the myrtle family Myrtaceae. It has a worldwide, although highly uneven, distribution in tropical and subtropical regions. The bulk of the approximately 1,100 species occur in the New World tropics, especially in the northern Andes, the Caribbean, and the Atlantic Forest (coastal forests) of eastern Brazil. Other centers of diversity include New Caledonia and Madagascar. Many of the species that occur in the Old World have received a new classification into the genus ''Syzygium''. All species are woody evergreen trees and shrubs. Sergio Staino (born 8 June 1940) is an Italian comics author, satirist and film director. Biography Staino was born at Piancastagnaio, in the province of Siena. After graduating in architecture, he moved to Scandicci. His comics debut was with Bobo, an autobiographical character, published in the magazine ''Linus'' starting from 1979. In the 1980s he collaborated with the newspapers ''Il Messaggero'' and ''L'Unità'', for which he still works. In 1986 he founded the satirical magazine ''Tango''. From 1987 to 1993, he also directed satirical TV shows for Rai 3, such as ''Teletango'' and ''Cielito Lindo''; in this period he also directed two movies, ''Cavalli si nasce'' (1989) and ''Non chiamarmi Omar'' (1992). Marina Rei (born 5 June 1969), is an Italian singer and songwriter. Biography Born in Rome as Marina Restuccia, daughter of Vincenzo "Enzo" Restuccia, drummer of the orchestra of Ennio Morricone and turnist, at 18 Rei started to dedicate herself to live music, performing in some of the best known Roman clubs. Sandro Veronesi (born 1959) is an Italian novelist, essayist, and journalist. After earning a degree in architecture at the University of Florence, he opted for a writing career in his mid to late twenties. Veronesi published his first book at the age of 25, a collection of poetry (''Il resto del cielo'', 1984) that has remained his only venture into verse writing.
