Eudalio Arriaga
Eudalio Eulises Arriaga Blandón (born 19 September 1975) is a former Colombian footballer that played as a forward. Career Born in Turbo, Antioquia, Arriaga began playing professional football with Envigado. He made his league debut under manager Gabriel Jaime Gómez, appearing as a second-half substitute against Deportivo Cali on 23 March 1995. He would score his first league goal against América de Cali on 11 March 1996. Arriaga played for a number of clubs in Colombia including Junior where he played over 100 games. He has also played in Mexico with Puebla, Barcelona Sporting Club in Ecuador, Danubio of Uruguay and Universidad San Martín of Peru. He is famous for his particular running gait, as one of his legs is shorter than the other, akin to football legend Garrincha, which made several narrators call him "Bamboleo" (wobble). Turbo, Antioquia
Turbo is a port city in Antioquia Department, Colombia. It is located on the coast of Gulf of Urabá, 340 km north of Medellín (the department capital and second largest city). This port city is the capital of the Urabá region of Antioquia. The place where Turbo is today was known as Pisisí, but by 1741 people were already talking about Turbo. By a decree on May 11, 1839, the central government spent one thousand pesos for military service barracks in Turbo. In 1840, the republican president assigned one thousand fanegas of uncultivated lands for the new population. It was established as a municipality in 1847. Turbo lies near the southeastern tip of the Darién Gap and is the northern terminus of the main route of the Pan-American Highway in South America. 2001 Copa América
The 2001 Copa América was held in Colombia, from 11 to 29 July. It was organised by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body. Colombia won the tournament for the 1st time without conceding a goal. Brazil national football team, Brazil were the defending champions who were knocked out from the tournament by Honduras national football team, Honduras after suffering a 0–2 defeat in the quarter-final. There is no qualifying for the final tournament. CONMEBOL's ten South American countries participate, along with two more invited countries, making a total of twelve teams competing in the tournament. Barranquilla () is the capital district of Atlántico Department in Colombia. Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, commonly known as Estadio Metropolitano, or colloquially, El Metro, is a multi-use all-seater football stadium in Barranquilla, Colombia. Manuel Francisco dos Santos (28 October 1933 – 20 January 1983), nicknamed Mané Garrincha, best known as simply Garrincha (, "little bird"), was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a right winger. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and by some, one of the greatest dribblers ever. Garrincha played a vital role in Brazil's 1958 and 1962 World Cup victories. In 1962, when Pelé got injured, Garrincha led Brazil to a World Cup victory with a dominating performance throughout the tournament. He also became the first player to win Golden Ball (Player of the tournament), Golden Boot (Leading Goalscorer) and the World Cup in the same tournament.
