''Eublemma parva'', the small marbled, is a moth of the family Erebidae. The species was first described by Jacob Hübner in 1808. Etymology The Latin name ''parva'' means "the little one". Distribution and habitat This species can be found from North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, southern Tunisia), Central and southern Africa (Eswatini Niger, South Africa, Sudan), and southern Europe to Central Asia. Also the Middle East, Turkey, Caucasus, Transcaucasia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and north-west India. It is a migratory species and can be found north of the Alps. These moths mainly inhabit hot and semi-arid areas of all kinds, including nutrient-poor grasslands, rocky slopes and scrubland.
