Ethiopia–Serbia relations are bilateral ties between Ethiopia and Serbia. Since the time of Yugoslavia, relations between the two nations have been warm. Both Ethiopia and Serbia are majority Eastern Christian nations. Ethiopia is one of Serbia's strongest advocates in Africa when it comes to their position on the recognition of Kosovo. The Ethiopian Navy (), known as the Imperial Ethiopian Navy until 1974, was a branch of the Ethiopian National Defense Force founded in 1955. It was disestablished in 1996 after the independence of Eritrea in 1991 left Ethiopia landlocked. The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was one of the founding members of the Non-Aligned Movement. Its capital, Belgrade, was the host of the First Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in early September 1961. The city also hosted the Ninth Summit in September 1989. Rakovica ( sr-cyr, Раковица, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. According to the 2011 census results, the municipality has 108,641 inhabitants. Industrija Motora Rakovica ( sr-cyr, Индустрија Мотора Раковица; abbr. IMR) was an agricultural machinery manufacturer based in Rakovica, Belgrade, Serbia, formerly Yugoslavia.
